Hiking May 25, 2007

Ok, so our first official hiking trip. It was short lived. A 25 pound back pack is quite heavy it seems. You can see we divided up the duty of hauling the heavy load. Once we build up our endurance (and I unbuild some chub) we will get back to our summer hiking of our favorite trails in and around Devil's Punchbowl. Note carefully what Devon is drinking inside that beer cozy.
Somebody just got his hair cut for his baptism on Sunday. Here is he using the over-the-shoulder modeling stance, very '80's.

A boy and his dog.

Born just a month apart, Winston and Brandon are almost inseparable. Here is a shot where Brandon fell asleep in the living room, probably after finishing off a bottle, and Winston snuck in to sleep next to him. Normally dogs aren't allowed in the "safe" room. That's the room that we have baby-proofed and cleaned and re-cleaned the carpets. Winston is the rare exception, because he is Brandon's dog.

This is Brandon and his cousin, Sage. This is the day we met up with Doug and Summer and went to Disneyland. It looks like Sage really loves Brandon, and I'm sure she does, but she is just also super photogenic. She looks great for no matter what purpose her picture is being taken.

Just an update on the Adoption: We had our second and what should be final meeting with our social worker. Provided Devon is as innocent as she pretends to be, everything should be fine and final by the year's end. We have finally chosen a common name for the family. If we haven't told you yet, this is no way for you to find out, give us a call.

Lastly, his baptism is this Sunday. I hope you like capicola and cannolis, if you don't know what those are, this is no way for you to find out, give us a call.

Ok, Ma, we may have a problem here. I've got a kid that loves to eat. He opens his mouth like a little bird, waiting for whatever we choose to drop down his gullet. HOWEVER, he did not care for his first taste of spaghetti, nor his next 15 or so either. I'm sure he'll love Nana Sue's old style Sicillian recipe. But for now, Houston, we have a problem.
